Al Capp’s world famous characters have been placed in an upbeat musical extravaganza. It is a satisfying mixture of hillbilly nonsense and sharp, critical humor that appeals to the sophisticated theatregoer as well as the child within us all. The curtain opens on “A Typical Day” in Dogpatch, USA where it only takes a moment to see that leisure time is at the heart of the local economy and drinking Kickapoo Joy Juice, fishing and the popular Sadie Hawkins Day Dance are the favorite pastimes for Dogpatch’s citizens. However, change is in the wind because the government has completed a study finding Dogpatch to be “the most unnecessary, no-account” place in the whole country, thereby setting the stage for evacuation of the town so the atomic testing can take place. Consternation abounds among the townsfolk. If they are to be evacuated, Dogpatch’s annual Sadie Hawkins Day Dance will be cancelled! A solution must be found, something that proves their town is a “necessary” place after all. Among the wonderful tunes included in “LI’L ABNER” are Abner and Daisy’s gentle duet Namely You, a dream ballad If I Had My Druthers, the hilarious showstopper Jubilation T. Cornpone, General Bullmoose’s Progress is the Root of All Evil and the political satire The Country’s in the Very Best of Hands. The Sadie Hawkins Day Ballet and fine choral work also contribute to making this a classic American Muiscal. 출장마사지

A ChristmasStory

Come with us to the midwest of the 1940’s as 9 year-old Ralphie Parker dreams of getting a “legendary official Red Ryder 200-Shot Carbine Action Range Model Air Rifle with a compass and this thing which tells time built right into thestock”. Ralphie’s Christmas hopes are usually dashed with his mother’s response of “You’ll shoot your eye out.” This stage adaption of the 1983 motion picture of the same name includes many of the famous scenes from the popular movie, including the family’s tempermental exploding furnace, the boys’ experiment with a wet tongue on a cold lampost; the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin and of course, Ralphie’s father winning that extraordinary lamp. “A Christmas Story” has become a theatrical holiday perennial. As the grown-up Ralph tells us in the play “Christmas was on its way. Lovely, beautiful, glorious Christmas, around which the entire kid year revolved.” 신용카드현금화

Many people know the story of Noah and the great flood. But not many people know the story as written by Peter Stone! This musical spoof on the biblical rendition of an ages old story is delightful and tender but certainly not based on fact. Oh the flood comes but the question posed in Act I is who will actually be on the ark? There’s Noah and his wife Ester (a name not biblically substantiated), son Shem and his wife Leah (also a name not biblically substantiated), son Ham and his wife Rachel (well, you get the drift on the women’s names) and son Japheth. What?? There is no one to go on the ark as Japheth’s spouse? But didn’t God command “two by two”? Will Japheth be on board when the rain falls? Will there be someone for Japheth? Will the lion lay down with the lambs? Don’t miss this funny and poignant musical satire on the story of Noah and the ark.
